The 2026 Nissan Armada NISMO Gets An Unexpected Infusion Of Extra Power & Better Handling

When the Nissan Armada got a full redesign last year, it brought more of what typical buyers are looking for in a family vehicle like the Armada. However, for 2026, Nissan has done the unexpected with the introduction of the Armada Nismo. It borrows lessons learned from the Nissan Z Nismo and applies it to their flagship family SUV. The Nissan Armada Nismo gets up to 460 HP from its twin-turbo V6 and a look that will surely stand out along with handling to match its more aggressive design.

Wow, what a fantastic and thorough review! As someone seriously considering the new Armada NISMO, this is exactly the deep dive I was looking for. The presenter did an amazing job going through every detail. I'm really impressed with Nissan's direction here. The move to the twin-turbo V6 with its GTR engine block heritage is a brilliant touch, and 460 horsepower in a rig this size sounds like a blast. The styling is spot-on – aggressive, functional, and that Stealth Gray color looks incredible. The interior, with all that Alcantara, red stitching, and carbon fiber-style trim, looks every bit the part of a high-performance luxury SUV.

That being said, there are a couple of things that give me pause, especially at the potential price point of nearly $70,000. For a NISMO model, hiding the exhaust tips feels like a missed opportunity to show off its performance credentials. My biggest hang-up, though, is the lack of features like a head-up display and ventilated front seats. At this price, those should be standard, especially when competitors like the Tahoe and Expedition offer them. It feels like a strange corner to cut on what's supposed to be a top-tier model.

This video definitely left me with a few key questions before I could pull the trigger. I'm anxious to see what the official MSRP will be, as that's a huge factor. I'm also very curious about the real-world gas mileage, because I imagine that twin-turbo V6 will be thirsty if you have any fun with it. Ultimately, I just need to get behind the wheel. I have to feel how that Nismo-tuned adaptive air suspension handles the corners and what the ride is like on those 22-inch wheels day-to-day. Thanks again for the incredibly detailed look!
